Established in 1978, the Western Suburbs Legal Service Inc is an independent, not for profit community organisation. WSLS is committed to providing free legal services to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in our local community. We put a particular emphasis on working with people who experience continuing problems with the justice system for reasons including age, gender, ethnicity, socio-economic status or political beliefs. We challenge unjust and inequitable legal structures and processes and campaign for progressive law reform.
WSLS has two full-time staff lawyers and a team of volunteer lawyers and paralegals. All lawyers working at WSLS, both volunteers and staff, are fully qualified lawyers who are certified to give legal advice.
WSLS prides itself on providing high quality legal services and we regularly achieve excellent outcomes for our clients.
